Elliot Park is one of the oldest neighborhood communities in Minneapolis. It began in the 1850’s as one of the settlements that emerged around the Falls of St. Anthony on the Mississippi River. Its proximity to the industries that were built up around the Falls made it popular for Swedish immigrants who were drawn to this area. Sections of Elliot Park along 8th Street were platted for the building of houses, stores, and churches as early as 1856, only four years after the founding of Minneapolis.  Learn more about the Elliot Park Neighborhood


Congratulations to the graduates of the Spring Elliot Park Entrepreneur Training Class!

It was an honor to host the Neighborhood Development Center’s Plan It! Class this Spring.  Class participants spent several months building and expanding their knowledge in a variety of topics including accounting, finance, the credit review process, marketing, management and more.  Several participants completed a business plan and are nearing the launch of their business.  Congrats to the graduates and best of luck with your journey!

Livability Committee Moves to New Time & Location!

The EPNI Livability Committee will now meet the 1st Thursday of the month, 6:30-7:30 PM at the Elliot Park Recreation Center Arts & Crafts Room.
